Last week, our elementary classrooms transformed into bustling engineering workshops as students tackled a hands-on STEAM project. The challenge involved assembling vibrant, pink unicorn 3D puzzle carousels by Foska. While constructing these whimsical displays looked like pure fun, the activity was packed with practical skill-building. To bring their carousels to life, students had to carefully navigate numbered, multi-step instructions to piece together the wooden chassis. Moving beyond standard puzzles, they also acted as junior electricians by integrating actual battery packs and wiring into the core of their designs. Beyond practicing fine motor skills and spatial reasoning, our young learners received a tangible introduction to physics. As they powered up their completed structures, they got to see the "inertial force effect" in action. It is wonderful to see our Saud International School elementary students actively engaged as creators, proving that early engineering can be just as magical as the unicorns they built. Would you like to add a specific date or mention a particular grade level within the elementary section for this highlight?
